Today Coronation Street stars arrived at filming but where too upset to work over the death of of Ann Kirkbride.
The news broke last night that Ann who played Corrie legend Deirdre Barlow had passed away.
ITV has cancelled filming today as a mark of respect and because the soap’s stars and production team are ‘too upset’.
A Statement has been released by ITV and they said:
‘The team came into work but were immediately stood down because of Anne’s death’, adding it was not clear when filming will begin again.
Flowers and cards have been left outside of the ITV’s studios at Salford Quays today.
So sad RIP
