The producers of Downton Abbey have said that a film is on the cards!
The ITV show is set to end this year with the last episode airing on Christmas day this year.
Executive producer Gareth Neame has said that he is ‘very interested’ in making the series into a film as he said:
‘I can confirm that there have been rumours that there might be a Downton movie. Our position on that is that would be very interested.
‘It is definitely something that we’re contemplating. It would be great fun to do. I think it would be a wonderful extension of everything people love about the TV show.
‘But I can’t confirm that it’s definitely going to happen. It would take a lot of planning and thinking about. We shall see.’
But that’s not it as the Gareth has hinted that a spin off show might be on the cards which stars the likes of Michelle Dockery, Joanne Froggatt and Dame Maggie Smith.
Good news espically with the series ending so a film would be great.

With the news that Zayn Malik was leaving One Direction teens worldwide have been upset over the last couple of days.
But now it’s been reported that a whopping 220 people have asked for leave after his departure was annouced.
Employment director Alan Price has said to the Manchester Evening News:
“It was a situation you just couldn’t make up.”
“While I sympathise with One Direction fans, I hardly think this qualified as compassionate leave.
“If employees feel strongly about the issue then request that they take days off as a holiday, but compassionate leave is what you allow if a close relative dies. Unless the employer is unaware of family ties with Zayn Malik then I hardly think that this qualifies.
“Abusing compassionate leave is inconsiderate to fellow colleagues who may genuinely need the time off,” Alan fumes, in between huffing, puffing AND venting.
Some people need to grow up to be fair lol.
What do you think?
